Why I created this initiative

People wanted to work. Nobody would teach them.

Over the years I met many people who wanted to work in construction but had nowhere to start. They had no practical training, and employers rarely have time to teach from zero.

Vocational programs often cover a technique without covering the real jobsite process around it — the plans, the permits, the inspections, the code environment and the way a crew actually works.

So I built a model of practical construction workforce preparation: teach the trade, teach the paperwork, and teach people how to be useful on a site from the first week.

Teaching approach

What a session looks like

Small groups

Enough people to work as a crew, few enough that everyone is corrected directly.

Real materials

Real lumber, board, boxes and duct — not diagrams of them.

Whole process

From reading the plan through the finished work and the inspection that follows.
