Our mission

Developing the next generation of skilled construction workers

Accessible, practical and career-oriented training in residential construction trades.

Our mission is to help develop the next generation of skilled construction workers by providing accessible, practical and career-oriented training in residential construction trades.

What the training covers

The initiative helps individuals enter the construction workforce with practical skills, an understanding of U.S. construction standards, workplace safety, construction documentation and inspection procedures.

Where it is going

Our long-term goal is a scalable training model delivered through hands-on instruction, employer partnerships, educational materials and online learning resources.

Development model

From pilot to scalable program

Pilot training

Small hands-on groups, taught directly by a working contractor on real residential work.

Repeatable model

Each track written down as a curriculum, so the same session can be delivered again by another instructor.

Employer partnerships

Relationships with construction companies interested in entry-level skilled workers.

Learning materials

Free written resources on terminology, tools, safety and permit preparation.

Online delivery

Fundamentals taught remotely so hands-on time is spent on the work that requires it.

Who it is for

The people the trades are short of

Residential construction cannot find enough people who understand safety, standards, documentation and inspection. That gap is not going to close by itself, and it does not close by hiring faster — it closes by training.

Everyone we train arrives from somewhere else: a first job, another country, another industry entirely.

Who it is for

People entering the trades

  • Young adults and high school graduates deciding on a career
  • Career changers moving into construction
  • Immigrants with trade experience adapting to U.S. standards
  • Entry-level workers who want a defined path forward

Our approach

Taught the way the work is done

Training happens with real tools, real materials and real drawings. Participants measure, cut, frame, hang, wire and prepare a jobsite for inspection under supervision — not from a slide deck.
